Lipstick Compact
Tuesday, December 30th, 2008What girl doesn’t need a lipstick compact in her purse…or at least a little mirror? For this project, I used Dani’s Sweet Cupcake for this project.
I also used the Chelsea box by Creative Imaginations (it even came with a self-adhesive mirror).

I chose one of the papers from Dani’s kit and printed it on 8.5×11 Matte Brochure paper by HP (32lb). I have always had very good luck with the paper, my home printer ink, and Mod Podge. I placed the box flat on one side of the paper and traced the pointed edge and then added an additional 5 inches, folded the paper in half lengthwise, and cut it out (the shape will be a rectangle with one pointed end). By folding the paper in half, I ended up with 2 pieces of paper, one for the outside and one for the inside.
Next, I painted mod podge (but you can use any adhesive) on the outside of the box and matched the pointed end of the paper up with the pointed end of the box. I smoothed out the paper and then did the same for the inside.
The mirror that came with the box already had adhesive on it, so I just peeled of the sticker and centered it. Lastly, I added a Prima flower and “S” brad and voila! I have the cutest lipstick compact around!! =0)
