Cutie patootie memo/picture holder
Bare Elements makes some really cute giant clothespins that are ready to alter (you can find them here)! Luckily, I found an oversized clothespin at my local Dollar Tree!! It was painted pink and had a wood butterfly on it, but I just pried that butterfly off and repainted it to suit my needs! I just loved Dani’s new remake, Birthday Cake: A Second Helping and thought the papers were perfect for my clothespin!

Crafting supplies: Oversized clothespin, acrylic craft paint, small foam brush, sand paper, sanding sponge, Mod Podge Matte, matte spray sealant (find it at the craft store), buttons, thread and needle, ribbon, alpha beads, fabric flowers, ribbon, hot glue gun
Since I didn’t like the paint on my pin, I took the pin apart and repainted it brown. It took several coats to cover up the pink paint. Then I roughed up the surfaces that wouldbe covered in paper with some sand paper. This will help the papers stick better when you glue them on.
I printed off 6×6″ pages of a few of Dani’s papers on matte photo paper. Then I traced around the pieces of the pin and cut out these pieces. I attached the papers to the pin with Mod Podge. I left the pin to dry for a half hour.
Next I trimmed off any overhang and made sure to leave a small hole where the spring needed to be fed back through. Then I sanded out the edges with my sanding sponge.
I decided to seal this project since this paint chips really easily. I took my project outside and protected the ground with some paper. Spray thin, even coats with the sealant spray and build up the finish gradually. I left my project to cure overnight.
Once the sealant was set, I put the srping back on and decorated with all my embellishments, attaching them with hot glue! And that was it! You can use this to display little notes or photos!

Love this! I found one of these at the dollar spot at Target. I bought only one – got home and THEN thought of altering it. By the time I went back the next day they were all gone!!

I’m going to coat-tail on what “Very Evolved” said… The way you connect to your audience is… Know who you are writing to. You need to pick a Target Audience and stick to them. You wouldn’t write to an audience of 14yr olds the same way you would write to an audience of 60yr olds.

What I wouldnt give to have a debate with you about this. You just say so many things that come from nowhere that Im pretty sure Id have a fair shot. Your blog is great visually, I mean people wont be bored. But others who can see past the videos and the layout wont be so impressed with your generic understanding of this topic.
