Hey, hey Girl Talkers! Leigh here with some quick inspiration for your 4th of July celebration.

When I saw Dani’s new kit, True Blue, I fell in LOVE!! It is awesome, don’tcha think?!?

Every year, we celebrate the 4th of July at the beach with our whole family. When I say “whole family,” I mean THE! WHOLE! FAMILY! It’s fun, fun, fun!

So, this year, I created some fun crafts and prizes for the kids in the family to make for decorations.

For the older girls in the family, I created a sassy little purse using Kelleigh Ratzlaff’s Sassy Purse #3 template and Dani’s papers in the True Blue kit. Talk about easy peasy?!!?  And, soooo cute!

Then for the younger kiddos, I made firecracker/noisemaker/sparklers!!

I simply recycled some toilet paper rolls (“tp”) and measured them for my layout. Once printed, I cut out the beautiful paper and adhered it to the toilet paper roll using my Tombow tape runner. I also printed out a few of the star embellishments from True Blue, cut them out and adhered them with pop dots. I used my large circle craft punch to cut out a top and bottom for the tp roll {I used a thicker card board type material for extra sturdiness}. I hot glued the bottom circle on first, filled the tp roll with beans and hot glued the top on. Be sure to poke a small hole in the top circle before you hot glue it on {to stick your garland in}. Finally, add the garland in the top and voila: some fun, firecracker noise makers for your celebration!

For my family, I printed all the necessary materials and gathered all the supplies we’ll need (glue, glue gun, cutter, punches, scissors, etc.) and we are going to have a craft day on Friday to make all of our fun crafts for the celebration!
